I think I was always going to do this.

While other little girls were dressing up as princesses or playing with dolls, I was asking my mum if I could rearrange the plates and glassware in her dresser. I’d ask permission to change displays around the house, reorganise cupboards or, much to my sister’s delight, tidy her toys.

I guess you could say I’ve always had an instinct for making spaces work better.

As I’ve grown older, I’ve realised it goes much deeper than simply having a tidy home. The spaces we live in have an enormous impact on how we feel and how we live - from the way children play and develop, to calmer relationships, easier mornings and simply enjoying having friends and family over.

I spent the first 25 years of my life in England and much of my adult life in Sydney, so my style naturally sits somewhere between the two: an English eye for detail with the ease of Australian living.

I started Redone by Robyn because I genuinely love helping people get more from the homes they already have. And in Sydney, where space isn't always on our side, every cupboard, corner and room needs to earn its keep.

I'm not particularly interested in rows of perfectly labelled Tupperware or complicated organising systems you'll abandon in three weeks. I care about how you actually live. I love beautiful things, clever storage, considered layouts and finding simple ways to make a home look better, flow better and feel easier.

If there's a space in your home that you know could work harder — but you're not quite sure what to do with it, that's where I come in.

I'd love to hear about it.
